Noodle's Potion Lab — Color Sort Puzzle Game

Noodle's Potion Lab: Color Sort is our second in-house game and the sister title to Noodle Quest. Players tap and pour magical potions between glass bottles until every bottle holds a single colour. It runs in the browser and as native iPhone and Android apps from one codebase. Play it free.

What We Built

1. A puzzle engine with a built-in solver

Pour rules, undo history and mystery layers are written in TypeScript. A best-first search solver finds solutions in milliseconds. It sets each level's par, powers in-game hints, and proves that every level can be solved.

2. 200 generated levels

A deterministic generator builds 10 worlds of 20 levels, ramping from three easy colours to twelve-colour master brews with hidden layers. Levels are served from a Laravel API, so new worlds go live without an app update. An endless "Random Brew" mode generates fresh puzzles on the device.

3. Magical feel

A Canvas renderer animates bottles lifting, tilting and pouring a real stream of potion. Corks pop, sparkles fly, and music and sound effects are synthesised in real time. AI-assisted art brings Noodle into a wizard's lab.
