Privacy Policy

Our privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Last updated: 4 August 2026

This policy explains what Workaholic Developers collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and what control you have over it. We have written it to be read rather than skimmed past, and we have tried to describe what actually happens rather than what is merely permitted.

1. Who we are

Workaholic Developers ("Workaholic", "we", "us") is a software company with engineering teams in India and client operations in Canada. Our registered address is Pathankot, Punjab, India, 145001.

This policy covers workaholicdevelopers.com and the free tools and content on it. Our OAuth service at connect.workaholicdevelopers.com has its own separate policy, because it handles a different kind of data entirely.

2. Information you give us

We only receive this when you choose to send it:

  • Enquiries and quote requests — your name, email, phone and whatever you tell us about your project.
  • Newsletter — your email address, until you unsubscribe.
  • Live chat — the messages you send, and any contact detail you provide in them.
  • Blog comments — your name and comment, which are public once approved.
  • Job applications — your CV and the details you submit through our hiring pages.
  • Client portal — if you are a client, the requests, files and messages you raise with us.

3. Information collected automatically

We run our own analytics rather than handing your browsing to a third party, and we deliberately built it to hold less than most:

  • The page visited, the referring page, your device type and your country.
  • A hashed visitor identifier — not your IP address. We store a one-way hash so we can count returning visitors without holding data that identifies you personally.

We do not build advertising profiles from this, and we do not sell it.

4. Cookies

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. This site uses them to:

  • keep your session working, and remember preferences such as light or dark mode;
  • measure which pages are useful, through the analytics described above;
  • serve advertising, as described in the next section.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Essential cookies aside, the site will still work — though some preferences will stop being remembered.

5. Advertising

We show advertising on parts of this site, including our blog and tools pages, through Google AdSense. This is how the free tools stay free.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
  • You may also opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or youronlinechoices.com.

Opting out stops ads being personalised. It does not stop ads appearing.

6. Our free tools

Most of the calculators, converters and generators on this site run entirely in your own browser. Where that is the case, what you type is never sent to us and never stored. Where a tool must process something on our server to work, we use it only to return your result and do not retain it afterwards, unless the tool explicitly says otherwise on its own page.

7. How we use your information

  • To answer your enquiry and, if you become a client, to deliver the work.
  • To send the newsletter you asked for, with an unsubscribe link in every issue.
  • To operate, secure and improve the site.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Where the law requires consent — marketing email, non-essential cookies — we rely on your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time. Otherwise we rely on performing our contract with you, or on our legitimate interest in running and protecting the site.

8. Who else sees it

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is necessary:

  • Payments. Card and payment details are handled by our gateway partner, Cashfree Payments. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Advertising and analytics. Google, as described in section 5.
  • Email. Sent through mail infrastructure we host and operate ourselves.
  • Professional advisers and authorities, where the law requires it — and where we are permitted to tell you, we will.

9. How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while a commercial relationship is live and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. Records needed for tax and accounting are kept for the period Indian law requires. Analytics data is aggregated and, being keyed on a hash rather than an identity, is not traced back to individuals.

10. Security

Traffic to this site is encrypted with TLS. Access to systems holding personal data is restricted to staff who need it and is logged. We keep the amount of personal data we hold deliberately small, which is the most effective protection available to us.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the GDPR, or Canadian privacy law. Whichever applies to you, we will honour a request to:

  • be told what we hold about you, and receive a copy;
  • have it corrected;
  • have it deleted;
  • withdraw consent, including unsubscribing from email;
  • object to a particular use, or ask us to restrict it.

Write to [email protected]. We aim to respond within 30 days, and will tell you promptly if a request will take longer. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to your local data protection authority.

12. Transfers between countries

We operate from India and Canada and serve clients internationally, so your information may be processed in more than one country. Wherever it is handled, this policy applies to it.

13. Children

This site offers business services and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.

14. Other websites

Our pages link to sites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own, and we would encourage you to read their policies before sharing anything with them.

15. Changes

We update this policy when what we do changes. The date at the top always shows the current version. Where a change materially affects you, we will do more than quietly edit this page.
