Noodle Party is our third in-house game: Snakes & Ladders reinvented for the whole family, with power cards, quick mini-games and eight themed boards. It runs in the browser and as native iPhone and Android apps from one codebase. Play it free.
What We Built
1. A rules engine with smart bots
Written in TypeScript: dice, ladders, snakes, special tiles (waves, portals, ghost ladders, lava) and power cards. Easy, Normal and Clever bots work out the expected outcome of every card before deciding whether to play it.
2. Boards that are play-tested by computer
A board generator places snakes, ladders and special tiles, then runs hundreds of bot games on each candidate. A board is only kept if games last a fun length and never drag. Boards are served from a Laravel API, so new ones go live without an app update.
3. Party feel
CSS 3D dice, tokens that hop, climb and slide down curvy snakes on a Canvas board, and four mini-games (Fruit Tap, Balloon Pop, Memory Match, Potion Pour). 2–4 players can pass one device around, or play Adventure mode against the bots.
4. Built to be kind
- No ads, no in-app purchases and no personal data
- No online play with strangers and no chat
- External links behind a grown-ups check
