Noodle Ludo — Family Ludo Game

Noodle Ludo is our fifth in-house game: the classic family board game of Ludo, rebuilt with themed boards, smart bots and private online games with friends. It runs in the browser and as native iPhone and Android apps from one codebase. Play it free.

What We Built

1. Three ways to play

• Adventure: ten themed boards against bots, each with star goals calibrated by thousands of simulated bot games
• Party: pass-and-play for 2–4 players on one device
• Play with friends: private online games joined with a 6-letter code

2. Real-time online play that can't be cheated

A server-authoritative Node.js WebSocket room server runs the very same TypeScript rules engine as the app, so every dice roll and move is checked on the server. Players can reconnect after a dropped connection, turn timers keep games moving, and a bot takes over if someone leaves.

3. Fresh twists on a classic

Optional house rules, power cards and a Quick Ludo timer mode keep games short and surprising. The animated board is rendered on Canvas 2D, with AI-generated art, and boards and content are served from a Laravel API.

4. Built to be kind

• No chat: only preset emotes, and nicknames are generated by the server
• Online games are private, by invite code only
• No ads, no in-app purchases and no personal data
