About 3D Dice Roller

This dice roller covers the full polyhedral set — d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20 and d100 — so it works for Dungeons & Dragons, Pathfinder, board games and any time a physical die has gone missing under the sofa. You can throw up to 20 dice at once, add a modifier from −20 to +20, and read the running total, the per-die breakdown and a "Natural 20" or "Natural 1" banner on a d20.

Fairness matters when a roll decides the game, so the results are not a plain Math.random() call. The tool draws from the browser's cryptographic generator (crypto.getRandomValues) and uses rejection sampling to strip out the tiny bias that modulo maths would otherwise introduce — every face has an equal chance. The tumbling animation is just for feel; the number underneath is a true uniform roll.

For tabletop players there is D&D 5e advantage and disadvantage on the d20: it secretly rolls two dice and keeps the higher or lower one, showing you both. A one-tap coin flip, saved presets like 2d6 and 3d8+2, all-time stats (rolls, best total and natural-20 count) and a history of your last 30 rolls round it out. Everything is stored locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Instead of Math.random(), the tool uses the browser's cryptographic random source and rejection sampling, which removes the small modulo bias that can skew ordinary random numbers. The result is a genuinely uniform roll where every face is equally likely.

They are the D&D 5e mechanic and apply to the d20 only. Advantage rolls two d20s and keeps the higher; disadvantage keeps the lower. The tool shows both dice and dims the one that was dropped so you can see exactly what happened.

A natural 20 is an unmodified d20 that lands on 20 — a critical hit, flagged with a green banner and confetti. A natural 1 is an unmodified 1, the critical miss or "fumble", flagged in red. The modifier is not counted for these; it is the raw die face that matters.

Yes. Choose a die type, set the number of dice (up to 20) and a modifier from −20 to +20, giving standard notation such as 3d8+2. The tool sums the dice, applies the modifier and shows the full breakdown.

Yes, in your browser's local storage. It keeps your all-time totals — number of rolls, dice thrown, best total and natural-20 count — plus your last 30 rolls, and you can reset either at any time.
