About SVG Blob Generator
This generator builds organic blob shapes the mathematically honest way: it places 3 to 14 anchor points around a circle, pushes each one in or out by a random amount controlled by the Contrast slider, then runs the points through a Catmull-Rom spline converted to cubic Bézier curves. That last step is what makes the outline flow smoothly through every point instead of looking like a wobbly polygon — the Smoothness slider is literally the spline tension.
The shape is driven by a deterministic seed, so the same seed always reproduces the same blob. That enables two things you will not find in most blob makers: the Share button encodes the seed plus every setting into the URL, so a teammate opening your link sees the identical shape, and dragging a slider reshapes your current blob rather than rolling a completely new one.
Styling and export are all local to your browser. Fill the blob with a two-colour gradient at any angle (or a solid colour), toggle a soft drop shadow, and rotate it freely. Then copy the SVG markup, download it as an SVG or PNG at 256 to 1024 pixels, or copy a ready-made CSS clip-path so you can crop images and divs into the blob shape. Keyboard users can press Space or R to shuffle, C for new colours and P to reveal the anchor points.

Frequently asked questions
Complexity sets how many anchor points the blob is built from — more points mean more lobes and a busier outline. Contrast controls how far each point is allowed to stray from a perfect circle: near 0% you get a gently squished circle, near 100% the radii vary wildly and the shape gets dramatic. They work together, so a low-complexity, high-contrast blob looks very different from the reverse.
Yes. Every blob comes from a numeric seed fed through a deterministic random generator, and your current seed plus all settings are saved locally and encoded into the Share link. Open that link on any device and the identical shape, colours, rotation and size are rebuilt — handy for keeping brand blobs consistent across a team.
SVG is the better default: it is a few hundred bytes, scales to any size with perfectly crisp edges, and can be re-edited in Figma, Illustrator or a text editor (the gradient and shadow are plain SVG elements). Choose PNG only when the destination cannot handle vectors — some slide tools, email builders or older CMS uploaders.
It copies CSS that clips any element into your blob. The primary rule uses clip-path: path() with the exact Bézier curves, sized in pixels for the output size you selected, so the curves match the preview precisely. A commented-out polygon() version of the anchor points is included as a responsive, percentage-based fallback for elements that change size.
The anchor points alone would form a spiky polygon. The generator instead threads a Catmull-Rom spline through them and converts it to cubic Bézier segments, which guarantees the curve passes through every point with continuous, natural-looking curvature — the same technique used in professional vector tools for smooth freeform paths.
