About Bubble Shooter
Bubble shooters descend from Taito's 1994 arcade hit Puzzle Bobble (Bust-A-Move in the West), which bolted a colour-matching cannon onto the character world of Bubble Bobble and accidentally created one of the most copied game formulas ever. The rules have stayed the same for three decades: fire a bubble into the hanging cluster, and when three or more of the same colour touch, they pop.
This version has 18 hand-crafted levels — stripes, diamonds, pyramids, honeycombs — each with its own colour palette and its own ceiling pressure: after a set number of shots (shown in the HUD counter) the whole ceiling drops a row, pushing the cluster toward the danger line above your launcher. Clear every bubble to win the level, with a bonus for the shots you had left. Levels unlock in order and your best score is saved on your device. It plays in the browser with no download: aim with the mouse and fire with a click or space on desktop, or drag to aim and release to fire on touch, with on-screen nudge and fire buttons as backup.
The scoring secret is that drops beat pops. Every bubble only hangs on through an unbroken chain to the ceiling, so popping a small group that is holding up a larger cluster sends the whole thing tumbling — and dropped bubbles are worth far more than popped ones. Aim high at the connector bubbles, bank shots off the side walls to reach awkward angles (the dotted aim guide predicts bounces), and use the swap button to bring the next bubble forward when the current colour is useless.

Frequently asked questions
Each level sets a number of shots — six on most boards, more on gentler ones — and the HUD counts them down. When the counter hits zero the entire ceiling descends one row, carrying every bubble with it, and the counter resets. If any bubble is pushed past the line above your launcher, the level ends. Efficient shots that pop or drop groups are how you stay ahead of it.
Bubbles only stay on the board while they are connected — directly or through neighbours — to the ceiling. When your pop removes the last link in that chain, everything below it detaches and falls. These drops score much more than pops, with the bonus growing steeply for bigger clusters, so the best players hunt for the few "anchor" bubbles holding up large formations.
A fired bubble reflects off the left and right walls at the same angle it hits, so you can reach pockets that are blocked from straight ahead. With the aim guide on, the dotted line simulates the full path including bounces, which makes it a good way to learn the angles; turn the guide off later for a purer, old-school arcade challenge.
The launcher shows your current bubble and the next one in the queue. Swap (the up-arrow key on desktop, or the swap button on touch) exchanges them before you fire, at no cost. Use it when the current colour has no good target — a wasted shot still counts against the ceiling-drop counter, so swapping is almost always better than firing a bubble that just sticks.
Levels unlock one at a time as you clear them, but every level you have reached stays unlocked in the level picker, so you can jump back to any earlier board to chase a higher score.
