What Vaultie does.

  • Photos in original quality (HEIC and RAW), videos, documents and secure notes

  • Every file encrypted with AES-256-GCM under its own key, names and thumbnails too

  • Keys need your PIN and this phone's secure hardware; PIN stretched with Argon2id

  • A recovery key made on your phone and shown once; no master key

  • No network at all: the Android app doesn't even have the Internet permission

  • Albums, smart albums, search, a private camera and a 30-day trash

Who Vaultie is for

For anyone who wants private photos, videos, ID copies and notes kept out of the main gallery and off the cloud. Vaultie encrypts each item on the phone, so it opens only with your PIN on that phone.

How Vaultie works

  1. 01

Set a PIN and write down the recovery key Vaultie shows you only once.

  2. 02

Import photos, videos, documents and notes, or shoot straight into the vault with the private camera.

  3. 03

Unlock with your PIN, face or fingerprint, and save an encrypted backup file when you like.

Questions about Vaultie

What is Vaultie?
Keep photos, videos, documents and notes in an encrypted vault that lives only on your phone. Encrypted before it's saved; only you can open it. No account, no cloud, no ads, no tracking.
What if I forget my PIN?
Use the Forgot PIN? option when unlocking, type your recovery key, then set a fresh PIN; everything in the vault stays as it was. If both the PIN and the recovery key are lost, nobody can open the vault, the developers included.
How do I move my vault to a new phone?
Export an encrypted .vaultie backup with a backup password, keep it somewhere the new phone can reach, and import it there with the same password. The vault is deliberately left out of iCloud and Google device backups.
Does Vaultie disguise itself as a calculator?
No. There is no fake or disguised icon, though you can switch to a calmer icon such as Night, Porcelain, Verdigris or Graphite.
Can the developers see my files?
No. Vaultie has no account, servers, analytics or crash reports and never connects to the internet; on Android it is not even granted Internet access.
When can I get Vaultie?
Vaultie is coming soon to the App Store and Google Play. Its website, vaultie.wdlab.app, will link to the stores the day it is live.
Which phones does Vaultie run on?
iOS and Android (iOS 15+, Android 8+).
Who makes Vaultie?
Vaultie is made by Workaholic Developers, an international software company with teams in Canada and India, which also builds ClassTrack, Mailaholic and the Noodle games.
